Back in the day, this web address was the original and only wardmin site. It was where I kept my art, my poems and my blog. Then I started adding random photos of me having fun. Then I wanted to put up some essays. Then I wanted to put up a Lakers widget… then things got out of hand.
I realized that I needed to split my web presence into several sites. The personal blog moved to wardmin.org. The academic essays moved to wardmin.info. My political and cultural essays grew into mentalslavery.com The design portfolio went to wardmin.net. And now finally, I have my personal creative projects here on wardmin.com.
Now, that’s a lot of websites. And I have a few more that will come on line shortly, but I think this is the best way to keep these various parts of me separate, yet together. They don’t all require lots of maintenance. The ones that get the most love will likely be wardmin.org. The ones that are actual blogs. The others are mainly news / portfolio sites. At least that is how I see them.
So this site’s blog probably won’t be updated all that often. If I’m doing something interesting, like say opening an exhibition or launching a play, you will find that here.
But, truth be told, I’m still experimenting and trying to find the best way to organize these things. And as time goes on, my needs will likely change and when they do, so will the websites.
Thanks for stopping by.
